Loud Ear Ringing

Tinnitus, or ringing in ear, has kept on have had to deal with by approximately everyone at one bit or another. This ringing in ear may be great or low pitched and vary but do not experience an external cause. A ringing in the ears has a somewhat mystical aura, because it can be heard only by the person. Loud Ear Ringing

The ringing in ear comes from within and may be in one or both ears, short or long in duration and it may be constant or intermittent. About 20 percent, of the nearly 50 million people who are bothered by ringing in ear, have severe symptoms. This ringing in ear is a symptom not a disease and is not by itself threatening to your health. A loud noise environment may be the cause of this ringing in ear. If you work in a loud noise environment around heavy, noisy machinery you may want to wear ear protection to cut down on the decibels of the noise.

Loud noise can generate a hearing loss and damage the sensitive hair inside your ear. You may even hear a ringing in ear in the absence of real sound. It is best to minimize your exposure to loud noise as much as possible. When do the ringing in ear symptoms appear Symptoms may appear after an airplane trip or deep sea diving, especially if you start out nursing a cold or allergy. You may have dizziness and feel like your ears are plugged. This kind of ringing in ear is known as barotrauma and will usually clear up on it own. Loud Ear Ringing

If you decide to take some over the counter medicine and you are taking a prescription medication be sure to check with your health professional before doing so. The ringing noise in the ear may even sound like a heart beat. If the sound is of a pulsatile nature, the arteries in the brain could be widening and you could have an aneurysm.

Nevertheless the ringing in ear is almost always the result of damage to the nerve that carries hearing messages back to the brain, and that can be cause by a tumor or by diabetes, pernicious anemia or the herpes or chicken pox viruses, or any other factor that damages nerves. Depending on the individual case, a doctor may prescribe a special hearing aid radio to be placed in the ear. It gives off a signal that blocks the ringing in ear. Loud Ear Ringing

But a simpler treatment is to use a FM radio and turn it on between stations and raise the volume. FM static can often block the ringing in ear and allow the person to sleep at night. Suffering from Tinnitus and Ringing in Ear? Get your life back forever by checking out Loud Ear Ringing now.

How can i stop my ears from ringing?
I have had this problem for s long, i cant even remember. My ears ring everytime its quiet, i cant be in a quiet room or i hear the ringing and its extremely LOUD! When im at home, i have a box fan going 24/7 and i sleep with my fan on at night no matter how cold it is. I can NOT sleep w/o that fan. I also have bad ear aches about 4 or 5 times a year, it comes and goes. If its my right ear with the ache, i wouldnt be able to turn my head far to the right becuz its very painful. I dont have insurance to go to a doctor, so is there anything to help this problem? some kind of medications over the counter that i can get? If i did go to the doctor without insurance, how much would it cost me to go see him?? Please share your ideas, thanks!!
i clean my ears, so i know that is not my problem…and i never listen to music loud, never, so that isnt my problem either…

I have ringing in my ears too.
First it was hearing loss. Went to the Dr and was found to have 5% hearing loss in my right ear. A few year later, it began to ring in that same ear and I don’t have the same sense of location for sound perception.
I don’t think there is a fix for it.. the fact that you’ve had it forever I guess is a good thing, you’ve learned to live with it as I have. I didn’t think I listened to loud music either but I think it was headphones. As for ringing when it’s quiet.. same for me.. it’s the only time that it’s quiet enough to notice. I feel your frustration.
If you need the fan, try earplugs. (but I think they might make it too noisy for you to sleep) I grew up with ear aches also. Had tubes in my ears twice. If you keep your ears clean.. that’s good. Try sweet oil for the pain (olive oil works fine too) Warm it up and drip it into your ear and clog it with a vasiline cover cotton ball to keep it in.
It won’t help your ringing but hopefully not worse.
Oh, have you every tried a noise-canceling device? Have to get use to THAT sound, but I think it works a little.
      Best of luck.

I would go back to the doctor, maybe for a stronger antibiotic.

Preferably, you should see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist. Not to scare you, they just might be able to select the best antibiotic for the middle ear.

I have had congestion (runny nose) for 6-7 weeks, ringing in my ears for 3 weeks. Antibiotics 1 week–no help?
Is there anything I can do? The antibiotics may have helped a bit–but not much. I take ibuprofen, over the counter cold medication & occasionally zinc, but nothing helps.

I would try to eat at least 2 or 3 cloves of fresh garlic a day for at least a couple of days. It is a natural antibiotic/antiviral/anti-fungal herb. You could take a clove of garlic and press it in a garlic press to add to any juice. (But wait 15 minutes after cutting it, or pressing it, before eating it) Garlic was used as an antibiotic in World War I. I’d also get some Vitamin C of some type in my body at least twice a day. Every time you take a medication, it depletes your body of that vitamin. Also get some Vitamin D. Ginger Root Tea would also help with nausea and vomiting. You can buy fresh fresh Ginger Root at most grocery stores. All you do is boil about 5 slices in a pot for about 5 minutes. Pour in a mug, add honey, or sugar, and drink. Try drinking some fruit or, vegetable juices and drink some hot chicken broth. You could also drink some Green Tea. It has a lot of antioxidants in it. Remember, plenty of fluids, especially with a fever. A Neti Pot would be great if you have stuffed up sinuses. And a humidifier is great to use at night for head & chest congestion. To put a stop to constant coughing, slice off a thin piece of garlic with a razor blade and put it in your mouth like a throat lozenge. For garlic breath, just brush your teeth with some baking soda. And for the sore throat, gargle with warm salt water 3 times a day. With this advice, you should be back on your feet in no time! Good luck.

    What’s wrong with my ear?
Alright so I’ll try and sum up my situation as short as I can. I basically was in hawaii for the last couple of weeks and while there I managed to plug up my ear a couple of times. The first time was on the plane, as it was landing my ear plugged and wouldn’t pop, it remained plugged until the next morning. The second time however happened when swimming, my ear got plugged and I figured I just got some water in there that would drain in time. However since then its been one week and my right ear is still completely plugged, I can barely hear a thing out of it and it is constantly ringing (the ringing cannot really be heard if there is other ambiance around but I can always hear it ringing in quiet places). There has been absolutely no pain whatsoever with this but its still very annoying to be going around with only one working ear.

I saw a doctor before leaving hawaii and he prescribed me with a few things saying I had an ear infection developing. He gave me some antibiotic pills (to be taken twice daily for ten days), and some ear drops (5 drops, twice a day). He also suggested taking some decongestants, for which I’ve just used an over the counter medication.

So here I am now, I’ve been with a plugged ear for 8 days, and on antibiotics for 5-6 days and I have seen no improvement whatsoever. The side effect of the antibiotic (diarrhea) has been showing up, but no improvements on the ear.

The only thing I might consider improved is that the ear drops I use (I put the 5 drops in and wait about 10 minutes with them in before draining the ear into a paper tower) is that the drops are clear initially but manage to bring a fair amount of wax, the paper towel use is clearly stained an orange/yellow after draining. This has been happening for the duration of the ear drop use but hasn’t done anything in terms of actually unplugging the ear.

So I’m just wondering if anyone here might be able to overlook my situation and give a second opinion on where I go from here? Is the prescribed medicine working at all, just not visually or is it a dud antibiotic? Is it even infected or just plugged with a ton of wax? Any input is appreciated.

You need to get a referral for an ENT, make an appointment and go before you lose or damage your hearing permanently.
